Lead Electrical Engineer - Renewable Energy

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Electrical Engineer specializing in Renewable Energy to spearhead their new initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design and engineering for renewable energy projects, including grid-tied and off-grid systems.
• Develop detailed electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and protection schemes for solar farms, wind turbines, and battery storage systems.
• Oversee the selection and specification of electrical equipment such as inverters, transformers, switchgear, and cabling.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and grid interconnection studies.
• Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to project teams, ensuring adherence to high engineering standards.
• Manage relationships with equipment vendors, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with a specialization in power systems or renewables.
• Extensive experience (8+ years) in the design and implementation of renewable energy electrical systems.
• In-depth knowledge of PV system design , wind turbine electrical systems, and BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems).
• Proficiency in electrical design software and simulation tools relevant to the renewable energy sector.
• Demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams and manage complex projects in a remote capacity.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
