About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to spearhead critical projects in Coventry, West Midlands, UK . In this senior role, you will be responsible for leading a team of electrical engineers, overseeing the technical direction of projects, and ensuring the successful completion of complex electrical systems from conception to commissioning. You will work closely with senior management and clients to define project scope, manage resources, and deliver innovative solutions that meet stringent performance and safety requirements. This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on high-profile industrial and commercial developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the electrical engineering design process for multiple projects concurrently.
- Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to a team of electrical engineers and designers.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans for electrical engineering activities.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable codes, standards, and regulations throughout the design and construction phases.
- Conduct rigorous quality control checks and reviews of all electrical designs and documentation.
- Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and address technical queries.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in electrical engineering, with a significant portion in a lead or supervisory role .
- Demonstrated expertise in power generation, distribution, and control systems design for industrial applications.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and simulation software (e.g., PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory).
- Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or eligibility is highly desirable.
