Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking to work on some of the UK's most complex infrastructure projects?
We're looking for an Lead Electrical Engineer to join a growing multidisciplinary engineering team, delivering innovative electrical design solutions across major industrial and infrastructure programmes. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a technically challenging role where you'll lead design activities, mentor engineers and collaborate with clients to deliver high-quality engineering solutions from concept through to construction.

The Role
As a Lead Electircal Engineer, you'll play a key role in delivering electrical engineering designs across a range of multidisciplinary projects. Working closely with project managers, engineers and clients, you'll provide technical leadership while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
You'll be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from feasibility and concept design through to detailed design and construction support, helping to develop practical and innovative engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of electrical engineering design packages on complex engineering projects.
- Produce and review keytechnicaldeliverables, including:
- Single Line Diagrams
- Cable Block Diagrams
- Load Schedules
- MCC Specifications
- Control Philosophies
- Control Network Architecture
About You
You'll ideally have:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status, or be working towards professional registration.
- Proven experience leading electrical design within industrial, process or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, control systems and electrical design principles.
- Experience producing detailed electrical design documentation.
- Knowledge of:
- Earthing and bonding
- Lightning protection
- Lighting design
- DSEAR and ATEX installation practices
Desirable
- Experience within the UK water sector.
- Knowledge of WIMES standards.
- Previous consultancy experience.
- Experience contributing to bids and business development activities.
