About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic Lead Electrical Engineer to join their team in Stoke-on-Trent . This senior role is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for a range of industrial projects. You will lead a team of electrical engineers and technicians, ensuring all designs meet stringent safety, quality, and performance standards. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical design process for new projects, from conceptualisation to detailed specifications and drawings.
- Oversee the design and specification of power distribution systems, control systems, and instrumentation.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant national and international electrical standards and safety regulations.
- Manage and mentor a team of electrical engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and performance reviews.
- Collaborate with project managers, mechanical engineers, and external vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct site visits for inspections, commissioning, and troubleshooting as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on industrial applications.
- Strong knowledge of power systems , control systems design, and electrical schematics.
- Experience with electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN) is essential.
- Proven leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to safety and quality.
