About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Lead Electrical Systems Engineer to join their advanced R&D department in Cambridge . This senior role will involve leading the design, development, and integration of complex electrical systems that form the core of our client's next-generation technologies. Key Responsibilities

• Define and architect high-level electrical system designs, translating complex requirements into technical specifications.
• Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers throughout the design, development, and testing phases.
• Oversee the integration of electrical components, subsystems, and software.
• Conduct rigorous system analysis, performance modeling, and risk assessments.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, and research departments.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in electrical systems engineering, with significant leadership experience.
• Proven expertise in system architecture, power electronics, control systems, and signal processing.
• Experience with simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink) and ECAD software.
• Strong understanding of hardware-software interaction and system integration principles.
