About the Role
Our client, a dynamic and innovative tech company, is looking for a highly skilled Lead Frontend Developer specializing in React to join their fully remote team. You will be responsible for architecting and developing cutting-edge user interfaces for their flagship web applications, ensuring a seamless and responsive user experience. This role involves leading a team of frontend engineers, mentoring them, and setting technical direction for frontend development practices. You will collaborate closely with backend developers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code, driving the evolution of their digital product offerings from anywhere in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex frontend features using React and modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Architect scalable and maintainable frontend solutions, ensuring code quality and performance optimization.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level frontend developers, conducting code reviews and fostering best practices.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into interactive, high-fidelity user interfaces.
- Work closely with backend engineers to define and integrate APIs, ensuring a cohesive application architecture.
- Champion frontend development best practices, including accessibility, performance, and cross-browser compatibility.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development, with a strong focus on React .
- In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend build tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel).
- Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Zustand) and testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library).
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for building exceptional user experiences.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
