About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Lead Frontend Developer to spearhead their user interface development efforts in Manchester . This role is perfect for a technically adept leader who is passionate about creating exceptional user experiences and mentoring a team of talented frontend engineers. You will be responsible for defining the technical direction of the frontend, ensuring high-quality code, and collaborating closely with design and backend teams to deliver intuitive and performant web applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of responsive and accessible user interfaces for web applications.
- Mentor and guide a team of frontend developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Establish and enforce frontend development standards, best practices, and coding conventions.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into high-fidelity, interactive prototypes and final features.
- Optimize frontend performance for speed and scalability across various devices and browsers.
- Work closely with backend developers to integrate frontend components with server-side logic and APIs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 6+ years of professional experience in frontend development, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.
- Expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, along with extensive experience with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Deep understanding of state management, build tools (Webpack, Vite), and frontend testing methodologies.
- Proven ability to architect complex frontend applications and lead technical initiatives.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
