Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled Lead Grid Operations Specialist to join their vital team, operating remotely. This senior position plays a critical role in ensuring the stability, reliability, and efficiency of the electrical grid. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day grid operations, managing system performance, and coordinating responses to grid disturbances. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage real-time grid operations , ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Monitor grid frequency, voltage, and loading conditions, taking proactive measures to maintain stability.
- Coordinate with generation and transmission operators to manage power flow and ensure supply meets demand.
- Lead the response to grid emergencies, contingencies, and system disturbances, implementing restoration plans.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Develop and update operational procedures, training materials, and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Significant experience (8+ years) in power systems operations , grid control, or transmission management.
- In-depth knowledge of power flow, stability, and control principles.
- Experience with SCADA systems and grid monitoring tools.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for complex operational challenges.
