About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Lead Industrial Engineer to spearhead their operational efficiency initiatives in Newcastle upon Tyne . In this senior capacity, you will guide a team of engineers in optimizing complex manufacturing and logistics processes, leveraging cutting-edge technology and innovative methodologies. This role is crucial for driving continuous improvement, ensuring seamless production flow, and maintaining the highest standards of operational performance. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of industrial engineers, providing technical guidance and project oversight.
• Develop and execute strategic plans for enhancing production capacity, throughput, and efficiency across multiple facilities.
• Implement advanced simulation and modeling techniques to predict and optimize system performance.
• Collaborate with R&D and operations management to integrate new product introductions into existing manufacturing systems seamlessly.
• Oversee the design and implementation of facility layouts and material handling systems.
• Drive the adoption of digital transformation technologies within the engineering and operations functions.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Extensive experience (7+ years) in industrial engineering, with a significant portion in a leadership role .
• Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing , Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), and Theory of Constraints.
• Proficiency in advanced analytics, statistical software, and ERP/MRP systems .
• Experience managing large-scale process improvement projects and capital investment evaluations.
• Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
