Lead Industrial Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Lead Industrial Engineer to spearhead operational improvements in their Newcastle upon Tyne facility. This leadership role involves guiding a team of engineers in the analysis, design, and implementation of advanced manufacturing and logistics systems. You will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for process improvement, ensuring alignment with company objectives, and fostering a culture of innovation. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of industrial engineers, providing technical guidance and project oversight.
• Develop and execute strategic plans for optimizing production efficiency, material flow, and factory layout.
• Implement advanced manufacturing technologies and automation solutions to drive productivity gains.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed engineering projects.
• Collaborate with supply chain, operations, and R&D departments to integrate new products and processes.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all operational areas.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience (7+ years) in Industrial Engineering , with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale process improvement projects and cross-functional teams.
• Expert knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and Theory of Constraints principles.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis software and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
