Our client is seeking an experienced Lead Industrial Engineer to spearhead operational improvements at their facility in Newcastle upon Tyne . Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of industrial engineers, providing technical guidance and project oversight.
- Develop and execute strategic plans for process improvement, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
- Oversee the design and implementation of new manufacturing layouts, equipment, and workflows.
- Champion the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies and data analytics for performance monitoring.
- Manage capital expenditure projects related to process and facility upgrades, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
- Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to resolve complex operational issues and drive consensus on solutions.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in industrial engineering, with a significant portion in a leadership capacity.
- Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred), and project management.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage complex projects, and deliver measurable results.
- Proficiency in simulation software (e.g., Arena, FlexSim) and advanced data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain logistics, and quality management systems.
