Lead Industrial Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and innovative Lead Industrial Engineer to spearhead process improvement initiatives at their facility in Newcastle upon Tyne . Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of industrial engineers , providing guidance, mentorship, and performance oversight.
• Develop and execute long-term strategies for operational efficiency, capacity planning, and resource allocation.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and validation of new production systems and automation technologies .
• Conduct in-depth analyses of production data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for optimization.
• Champion lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma projects to achieve significant improvements in productivity and quality.
• Liaise with senior management, providing regular updates on project progress and operational performance metrics.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Over 7 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering , with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
• Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing , Six Sigma (Black Belt certification preferred), and advanced process modeling techniques.
• Strong understanding of supply chain management, logistics, and operations research .
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in simulation software (e.g., Arena, AnyLogic) and data analysis tools.
