Lead Industrial Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Industrial Engineer to head their operational improvement initiatives in Brighton . This role demands strong leadership qualities and a deep understanding of industrial engineering principles to guide teams in optimizing processes, enhancing productivity, and ensuring the highest standards of operational efficiency. You will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for process improvements and managing key projects from inception to completion, working closely with on-site teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of industrial engineers in the analysis and optimization of manufacturing and operational processes.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for process improvement, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.
• Oversee the successful execution of major projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to specification.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational effectiveness and identify areas requiring attention.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the engineering and operational departments.
• Collaborate with senior management to align process improvement strategies with overall business objectives.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Significant experience (8+ years) in industrial engineering , with proven leadership and project management capabilities.
• Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), and other operational excellence methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into effective strategies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, working on-site with operational teams.
