About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Lead Industrial Engineer to spearhead process improvement initiatives in Birmingham . This senior position involves leading a team of engineers and technicians in the design and implementation of advanced manufacturing systems and operational strategies. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of efficient manufacturing processes and systems.
• Manage and mentor a team of industrial engineers, providing guidance and technical support.
• Develop and execute strategic plans for operational improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
• Utilize lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate waste and enhance productivity.
• Oversee the integration of new technologies and automation into production environments.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, performance issues, and opportunities for optimization.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards across all operational processes.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• At least 7 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering , with a focus on manufacturing operations.
• Demonstrated experience in leading engineering teams and managing complex projects.
• Expertise in lean manufacturing , Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in process simulation software, ERP systems, and statistical analysis tools.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
