About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Industrial Engineer to join their established team in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is crucial in driving operational excellence across multiple manufacturing sites, blending on-site collaboration with remote flexibility. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance production efficiency, streamline workflows, and optimize resource allocation. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, a deep understanding of lean manufacturing principles, and a proven ability to manage complex projects in a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of new industrial processes and systems to improve overall operational performance.
• Analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and recommend data-driven solutions for efficiency and cost reduction.
• Develop and standardize work instructions, process documentation, and best practices across different departments.
• Manage and mentor a team of industrial engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Collaborate with operations, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless integration of process improvements.
• Oversee the successful execution of capital projects related to facility upgrades and equipment implementation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Significant experience (7+ years) in industrial engineering , with a proven track record in leadership roles.
• Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt certification a plus), and process optimization techniques.
• Strong project management skills with experience managing budgets and timelines.
• Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools for process analysis.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, adept at working in a hybrid setting.
