Lead Industrial Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Lead Industrial Engineer to spearhead process improvement initiatives within their facilities in Coventry . This senior position requires a strategic thinker capable of leading teams and driving significant operational enhancements. You will be responsible for developing and implementing long-term strategies for efficiency, quality, and cost reduction across all production lines. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and a deep understanding of industrial engineering best practices to guide the engineering department towards achieving ambitious operational targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of industrial engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Develop and oversee the implementation of strategic industrial engineering projects aimed at optimizing throughput and reducing operational costs.
• Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of implemented solutions and identify areas for further refinement.
• Collaborate with senior management to align engineering strategies with overall business objectives and long-term growth plans.
• Conduct feasibility studies and pilot programs for new technologies and methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations within the operational facilities.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field.
• Over 10 years of extensive experience in industrial engineering, with a significant portion in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
• Demonstrated expertise in Lean Six Sigma , theory of constraints, and supply chain optimization.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale engineering projects and cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, adept at engaging with executive leadership.
