Lead Industrial Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Lead Industrial Engineer to spearhead operational excellence initiatives in Newcastle upon Tyne . This senior position involves leading a team of engineers in the design, development, and optimization of complex industrial processes. You will be responsible for strategic planning, project execution, and ensuring that all operations meet the highest standards of efficiency, safety, and quality. This is a critical role requiring strong leadership capabilities and a deep understanding of advanced manufacturing techniques to drive significant improvements within a key facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of industrial engineers , providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
• Develop and implement long-term strategies for process improvement and operational efficiency across the facility.
• Oversee the design and integration of new technologies and automation solutions into production lines.
• Conduct rigorous analysis of operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for optimization.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations pertinent to the manufacturing sector.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to achieve strategic objectives.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field.
• Over 7 years of experience in industrial engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
• Expertise in lean manufacturing , Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects from conception to completion.
• Strong understanding of supply chain management and logistics principles.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
