About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Lead Industrial Engineer to direct and oversee process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives at their facility in Plymouth . In this leadership role, you will guide a team of engineers, implement strategic projects, and drive the adoption of best practices in manufacturing and operations. You will be instrumental in optimizing complex systems, enhancing productivity, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. This is a prime opportunity to shape the future of operations in the South West of England.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of industrial engineers and technical staff.
Develop and execute strategic plans for process optimization, cost reduction, and operational efficiency improvements.
Oversee the design and implementation of new production systems, equipment, and layouts.
Utilize advanced analytical techniques, including simulation and statistical modeling, to solve complex operational challenges.
Ensure adherence to lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies across all projects.
Collaborate with senior management to set operational goals and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in Industrial Engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Proven track record of successfully leading complex process improvement projects.
Expertise in lean manufacturing , Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), and project management methodologies.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership capabilities.
