About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Lead Industrial Engineer to spearhead process optimization and efficiency initiatives for their operations in Edinburgh . This senior role involves leading a team of engineers, driving strategic improvements, and ensuring the effective implementation of lean manufacturing principles across the organization. You will be responsible for identifying and resolving complex operational challenges, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing significantly to the company's continuous improvement culture. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of industrial engineers, overseeing project execution and performance.
• Develop and implement strategic lean manufacturing and Six Sigma programs.
• Analyze complex production systems and design improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for all operational processes.
• Drive the adoption of best practices in process design, workflow optimization, and resource management.
• Collaborate with senior management to align operational strategies with business objectives.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering , with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Extensive knowledge and proven application of Lean manufacturing , Six Sigma (Black Belt certification highly desirable), and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Experience in mentoring and developing engineering teams is essential.
