About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Information Security Analyst to join their team in Southampton . This leadership role is pivotal in guiding the security strategy and operations, ensuring the protection of critical company data and systems. You will mentor a team of security professionals, oversee major security initiatives, and collaborate with senior management to align security objectives with business goals. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of information security analysts, fostering professional growth and development.
• Develop and implement the organization's information security strategy and roadmap.
• Oversee the management of security technologies, including SIEM , intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability management tools.
• Direct the incident response process, ensuring swift and effective resolution of security breaches.
• Conduct advanced threat hunting and analysis to proactively identify and mitigate risks.
• Represent the security team in cross-functional projects and stakeholder meetings.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in information security , with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, risk management, and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
• Proven ability to manage complex security projects and drive technical initiatives to completion.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, cryptography, and cloud security concepts.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
