About the Role
Our client is seeking a visionary Lead Information Security Architect to join their completely remote team. This senior role will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the overall security architecture of the organization's systems and networks. You will provide technical leadership, define security standards, and guide the implementation of secure solutions across various platforms, including cloud and on-premises environments. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of security principles and a proven track record of architecting robust, scalable, and resilient security frameworks in a distributed workforce setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the enterprise information security architecture strategy and roadmap.
- Design secure solutions for applications, networks, cloud environments, and data protection.
- Establish security standards, patterns, and best practices for technology adoption.
- Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions.
- Provide expert guidance and technical leadership to security and IT teams.
- Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for new and existing systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in information security, with a focus on security architecture and design.
- Deep understanding of network security, cloud security (AWS, Azure), identity and access management (IAM), and data security.
- Experience with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and threat modeling techniques.
- Excellent technical leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP-ISSAP, SABSA, or TOGAF are a plus.
