Lead Information Security Architect

About the Role

Our client is looking for a visionary Lead Information Security Architect to design and oversee the implementation of secure systems and infrastructure in Leeds . This senior role is critical in defining the organization's security architecture, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and effectively protects against current and future threats. You will collaborate with various technology teams to embed security principles into the entire system lifecycle, from conception to deployment and maintenance, driving innovation while maintaining a strong security posture. This position offers the chance to architect resilient and scalable security solutions within a progressive technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and document the enterprise information security architecture, ensuring it meets business needs and regulatory requirements.
• Define security standards, guidelines, and best practices for IT infrastructure and applications.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions to enhance the organization's security posture.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to security engineers and project teams.
• Conduct security reviews of proposed system designs and changes.
• Develop and maintain security architecture diagrams and documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience in information security, with a strong focus on security architecture.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing complex security solutions.
• Deep understanding of network security, cryptography, identity and access management, and cloud security.
• Experience with security frameworks and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP-ISSAP or SABSA.
