Lead Information Security Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Lead Information Security Architect to spearhead their security strategy. This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to design and implement robust, scalable security architectures that protect critical information assets. You will play a crucial role in defining the security roadmap, evaluating new technologies, and ensuring that security is embedded into the core of the organization's IT infrastructure and business processes. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the organization's overall information security architecture, ensuring alignment with business objectives and risk appetite.
• Evaluate and recommend security technologies, standards, and best practices to enhance the security posture.
• Develop security blueprints and reference architectures for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises infrastructure.
• Lead the security review of new projects and initiatives, providing architectural guidance and ensuring compliance with security policies.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and compliance teams to integrate security seamlessly into the development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
• Create and maintain comprehensive security architecture documentation, including diagrams, policies, and standards.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field; CISSP-SP certification or equivalent is mandatory.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in information security, with at least 5 years focused on security architecture.
• Deep understanding of cloud security principles, microservices security, zero trust architecture, and identity and access management (IAM).
• Extensive experience with security tools, including firewalls, WAFs, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, and cryptography.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams, influence decision-making, and communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences in a remote setting.
