Lead Information Security Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Lead Information Security Architect to spearhead security strategy and design for their globally distributed operations, working remotely. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the overall security architecture that protects the organisation's information assets from a wide range of cyber threats. You will collaborate with engineering, operations, and business units to ensure security is embedded into every aspect of the technology landscape, driving best practices and resilience. Key Responsibilities

• Design and oversee the implementation of secure, scalable, and resilient cloud security architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop and maintain the enterprise security architecture roadmap, aligning with business objectives and risk appetite.
• Lead security reviews for new technologies, applications, and infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with security standards.
• Define and enforce security policies, standards, and guidelines across the organisation.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to security engineering teams.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions to address emerging threats.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in information security, with at least 5 years in security architecture.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing security solutions in cloud environments .
• Deep understanding of network security, identity and access management, data protection, and cryptography.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and drive strategic security initiatives.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
