About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Lead Machine Learning Engineer to spearhead the development of advanced ML solutions in Newcastle upon Tyne . Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of machine learning engineers, fostering best practices and technical growth.
- Design, build, and deploy scalable machine learning systems and MLOps pipelines.
- Collaborate with data scientists and product managers to understand requirements and deliver ML solutions.
- Optimize model performance, deployment strategies, and operational efficiency for production systems.
- Define and enforce code quality, testing, and deployment standards for ML projects.
Requirements
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in machine learning engineering.
- Proficiency in Python and ML libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Demonstrated experience in leading technical projects and mentoring engineers.
