About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Lead Manufacturing Systems Analyst to join their operations, working remotely and supporting their facilities across the UK, including their key site in Sunderland . This senior role is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and ongoing optimization of manufacturing information systems, ensuring they align with business objectives and drive operational efficiency. You will lead a team of analysts, collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, and leverage your expertise in digital manufacturing technologies to enhance productivity and data integrity. This is a unique opportunity to shape the technological future of our client's manufacturing footprint from a remote position.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) integrations.
- Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for system enhancements and automation.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of manufacturing systems analysts.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including process flows, user guides, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with IT, operations, and engineering teams to ensure seamless system performance and data accuracy.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee the selection and implementation of new manufacturing software solutions.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing systems analysis, with at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role.
- Extensive experience with MES, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and SCADA systems.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, automation, and Industry 4.0 principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fully remote team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
