Key Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design and development of complex medical devices, ensuring compliance with ISO 13485 and other relevant standards.
• Manage project timelines, resources, and technical aspects of mechanical design within the medical device development lifecycle.
• Develop detailed 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and specifications for components and assemblies.
• Conduct rigorous mechanical analysis, including stress, tolerance, and failure mode analysis.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, regulatory affairs, and clinical specialists.
• Oversee prototyping, testing, verification, and validation activities for medical devices.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related biomedical engineering field.
• 8+ years of experience in mechanical design, with a significant focus on medical device development .
• In-depth knowledge of medical device regulations (e.g., FDA, CE marking).
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, PTC Creo) and CAE tools for analysis.
• Experience with sterilization techniques, biocompatible materials, and GMP.
• Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
