Key Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization and design of novel mechanical systems and advanced prototypes for R&D projects.
• Manage and mentor a team of mechanical engineers, fostering a culture of creativity and technical excellence.
• Conduct in-depth research, analysis, and feasibility studies for innovative mechanical concepts.
• Develop and execute experimental plans to validate new designs and technologies.
• Collaborate with external research institutions and internal cross-functional teams, including physics and materials science specialists.
• Stay abreast of the latest technological advancements and patent landscape relevant to the company's R&D focus.

Requirements

• PhD or MSc in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with a strong research background.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in R&D, with at least 5 years in a leadership or principal engineering role.
• Proven expertise in advanced mechanical design, kinematics, dynamics, and control systems.
• Experience with state-of-the-art CAD and simulation tools, and experimental apparatus design.
• Strong publication record or patents in relevant fields is highly desirable.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, leadership, and communication skills to inspire and guide the R&D team.
