About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of mechanical engineers on various projects.
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of mechanical designs, from conceptualization to detailed engineering and production.
• Ensure designs meet all technical specifications, performance criteria, and regulatory standards.
• Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets for mechanical engineering deliverables.
• Conduct advanced engineering analysis and simulations to validate design integrity and performance.

Requirements

• MSc or MEng in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Substantial experience (10+ years) in mechanical engineering, with proven leadership capabilities.
• Expertise in CAD software (e.g., Creo, Inventor ) and advanced simulation tools (FEA, CFD).
• Strong project management skills and experience in delivering complex engineering projects.
• Excellent understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and industry best practices.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, essential for leading in Southampton .
