Our client is seeking a visionary Lead Mechanical Engineer to spearhead their engineering efforts in Birmingham . This senior position requires a strategic thinker adept at managing product development lifecycles and leading a team of talented engineers. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers in the design and development of new products.
- Define and implement best practices for mechanical design , analysis, and validation processes.
- Oversee the creation of complex 3D models, 2D drawings, and detailed technical documentation.
- Conduct advanced engineering analyses, including FEA and CFD, to optimize performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with project management, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless product launches.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions to enhance product capabilities.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Over 10 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated expertise in CAD/CAM/CAE software suites and design for manufacturing principles.
- Strong knowledge of various materials, machining techniques, and assembly processes.
- Experience in project planning, resource allocation, and team supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
