Lead Medical Science Liaison - Oncology

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Lead Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to spearhead their oncology initiatives across the UK, operating in a fully remote capacity. This pivotal role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in oncology, disseminating crucial scientific and clinical information, and gathering valuable insights from the medical community. You will be at the forefront of communicating complex scientific data related to our client's innovative therapies, ensuring healthcare professionals are well-informed and engaged. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic territory plans to engage KOLs and address their scientific and clinical needs related to oncology therapies.
• Deliver accurate and compelling scientific presentations on product data, clinical trial results, and disease states to healthcare providers and researchers.
• Act as a vital conduit for scientific exchange, collecting and relaying field intelligence, unmet medical needs, and emerging trends to internal medical affairs and R&D teams.
• Provide scientific support for clinical trials, including investigator-initiated studies, and assist in the identification of potential research sites.
• Represent the company at national and international medical congresses and symposia, fostering professional relationships and disseminating scientific information.
• Mentor and support other MSLs within the team, contributing to best practices and overall team performance in medical affairs engagement.

Requirements

• Advanced scientific degree (Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., DVM, or equivalent) with a strong clinical or scientific background in oncology .
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison, preferably with a focus on oncology or hematology.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain credible relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and healthcare professionals.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific information clearly and concisely.
• Proven understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory requirements, and medical affairs functions.
• Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory as needed (although the role is remote, occasional site visits or congress attendance may be required).
