Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive mine plans, considering safety, environmental, and economic factors for projects in the UK .
• Oversee the design and selection of mining equipment, machinery, and processing systems.
• Manage and mentor a remote team of mining engineers and technical staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Conduct feasibility studies and economic analyses for new mining projects and expansions.
• Monitor operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mining engineering, with a significant focus on operational management.
• Proven experience in mine design, planning, and production, preferably within diverse geological settings relevant to the UK .
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading remote or distributed teams.
• Proficiency in mine planning software (e.g., Deswik, Surpac, AutoCAD) and simulation tools.
• Excellent understanding of rock mechanics, ventilation, and ground support systems.
