Lead Mining Engineer

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Mining Engineer to join their operations based near Coventry, West Midlands . This leadership position is crucial for overseeing mine planning, development, and operational efficiency within diverse mining projects. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive mine plans, including production schedules and resource utilization strategies.
• Oversee the design, construction, and operation of mining infrastructure and equipment.
• Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the mining operations .
• Manage and mentor a team of mining engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular site inspections and performance reviews to identify areas for optimization.
• Prepare technical reports, budgets, and project proposals for senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in mine planning, operations, and management.
• Demonstrated experience with mine design software and simulation tools.
• Strong knowledge of underground and open-pit mining methods and technologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) designation is highly desirable.
