Lead Motion Graphics Designer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Lead Motion Graphics Designer to spearhead their creative output in Birmingham . You will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing high-quality motion graphics for a variety of projects, including marketing campaigns, product demonstrations, and internal communications. This leadership role requires not only exceptional creative talent but also the ability to guide and mentor a team of designers, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard. You will play a pivotal role in defining the visual style and storytelling through animation, contributing directly to the brand's impact and reach.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and direct the creative vision for all motion graphics projects.
• Create compelling animated explainers, title sequences, social media content, and more.
• Mentor and manage a team of junior motion graphics designers, providing feedback and guidance.
• Collaborate with marketing, video production, and other departments to align motion graphics with project goals.
• Stay abreast of the latest motion design trends , software, and techniques.
• Oversee quality control and ensure all deliverables meet brand and technical specifications.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in motion graphics design, with a proven track record of leading projects and teams.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, and other relevant creative software.
• Strong understanding of animation principles, 3D software is a plus.
• A diverse portfolio showcasing a range of styles and project types.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Experience working within an agency or in-house creative department in Birmingham .
