About the Role

Our client seeks a dynamic Lead Online Tutor specializing in STEM subjects to join their expanding educational services team based in Newcastle upon Tyne . This hybrid role involves both online tutoring and occasional on-site support, where you will guide and mentor students, develop innovative teaching strategies, and support junior tutors. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing student engagement and academic performance through personalized instruction and fostering a positive learning environment within a collaborative team structure.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert online tutoring in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics subjects to students of various levels.
• Develop and refine engaging online lesson plans and tutoring materials, incorporating interactive elements.
• Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and create tailored learning plans.
• Lead training sessions and provide guidance to a team of online tutors.
• Collaborate with the academic team to improve online learning resources and student support services.
• Conduct periodic in-person sessions or meetings as required by the hybrid model.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant STEM field.
• Proven experience (3+ years) as an online tutor or educator, with a track record of student success.
• Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience.
• Proficiency with online tutoring platforms, video conferencing tools, and educational software.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
