Lead Penetration Tester

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Penetration Tester to join their dedicated security team in Bradford . This leadership role involves planning, executing, and reporting on comprehensive penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities in our client's systems, networks, and applications. You will guide a team of testers, develop testing methodologies, and communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess advanced offensive security skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to lead complex security assessments within the company's infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct in-depth penetration tests across various environments, including web applications, networks, and cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and refine penetration testing methodologies and techniques to simulate real-world threats.
• Analyze test results, identify vulnerabilities, and provide actionable recommendations for remediation.
• Mentor and guide junior penetration testers, fostering skill development within the team.
• Prepare detailed reports documenting findings, risks, and remediation strategies for management and technical teams.
• Stay current with the latest exploitation techniques and emerging threats.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in penetration testing and vulnerability assessment.
• Demonstrated expertise in exploitation techniques, network protocols, and security architecture.
• Proficiency with penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, and Kali Linux.
• Relevant certifications like OSCP, OSCE, or GPEN are highly preferred.
• Strong reporting and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical issues.
