Lead Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance Manager to oversee quality operations at their facility in Manchester . This senior position is critical for ensuring that all pharmaceutical products manufactured meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. You will lead a team of QA professionals, implement robust quality systems, and work closely with manufacturing, regulatory affairs, and R&D departments. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in line with GMP and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and manage the Quality Assurance team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
• Oversee batch record review and release processes, ensuring product quality and compliance.
• Conduct internal audits and host external regulatory inspections (e.g., MHRA, FDA).
• Manage deviations, CAPAs, and change control processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Liaise with suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure quality standards are met throughout the supply chain.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance, with at least 2 years in a management role.
• Extensive knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) , regulatory guidelines (e.g., MHRA, FDA, EMA), and quality control principles.
• Proven experience in managing QMS, including audits, deviations, CAPA, and change control.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with the capacity to influence stakeholders at all levels.
