About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Process Engineer to spearhead their process development and optimisation efforts within the mining sector , based in Nottingham . This role is crucial for improving the efficiency, yield, and environmental performance of mineral processing plants. You will lead a team of engineers, drive innovation in processing technologies, and ensure the successful implementation of new processes. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and optimisation of mineral processing circuits.
- Oversee pilot plant trials and scale-up studies for new processing technologies.
- Analyse process data to identify performance bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
- Manage a team of process engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
- Ensure all process designs comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with metallurgists, geologists, and operational teams to achieve project goals.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in process engineering , with a strong focus on the mining or minerals processing industry.
- Proven expertise in flotation, grinding, leaching, or other ore beneficiation techniques.
- Experience with process simulation software (e.g., METSIM, HSC Chemistry).
- Strong project management and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, balancing site visits with remote work.
