Lead Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly motivated Lead Process Engineer to join their team in Bradford . This senior role is responsible for the design, development, and optimization of process systems and equipment used in the Oil & Gas sector . You will lead engineering efforts on key projects, ensuring that all designs meet safety, environmental, and operational standards, while mentoring junior engineers. Your expertise will be crucial in driving innovation and efficiency in our process solutions, contributing to the successful delivery of complex engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the process design and development of new facilities and modifications to existing plants.
• Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and equipment specifications.
• Perform process simulations and calculations to optimize system performance and energy efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Provide technical support during the construction, commissioning, and start-up phases of projects.
• Mentor and guide junior process engineers, fostering their technical and professional growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in process engineering, with a significant portion in the Oil & Gas industry .
• Strong knowledge of process design principles, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics.
• Proficiency with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
• Experience with P&IDs, PFDs, and equipment design.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
