About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Lead Project Manager to join their dynamic team in Birmingham . This critical role involves overseeing a portfolio of projects, ensuring successful delivery on time and within budget, while driving strategic objectives. You will be responsible for mentoring junior project managers and implementing standardized project management processes across the organization. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities and a deep understanding of project lifecycles, playing a vital part in shaping the company's future project successes.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, execution, and closing of multiple projects simultaneously.
• Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring clarity on objectives and deliverables.
• Develop and implement robust project governance frameworks and reporting structures.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders, vendors, and internal departments to ensure seamless project execution.
• Identify and address potential project roadblocks, proactively managing risks and issues.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the project management office (PMO).

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in project management , with at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Demonstrated success in delivering large-scale, complex projects in a corporate setting.
• Strong knowledge of project management software and tools.
• Exceptional negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience with budget management and financial forecasting for projects.
• Relevant professional certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is essential.
