About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Lead Project Manager to drive strategic projects from their base in Coventry, West Midlands, UK . This senior role requires a proven leader capable of managing large-scale, complex initiatives and overseeing a portfolio of projects to ensure successful delivery that aligns with the company’s overarching goals. You will play a critical role in shaping project strategies, fostering a collaborative environment, and ensuring that all projects are executed efficiently and effectively, contributing to the organization's success and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of major projects, from initial concept and planning through to execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Develop and implement robust project management frameworks, standards, and best practices across the organization.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers, providing guidance and support to enhance their capabilities and performance.
• Manage key stakeholder relationships, ensuring clear communication, expectation management, and buy-in throughout project lifecycles.
• Conduct rigorous risk assessments and develop proactive mitigation strategies to safeguard project objectives and timelines.
• Monitor project progress against key performance indicators, reporting on status, issues, and risks to senior management.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (10+ years) in project management, with a significant portion in a lead or senior management capacity.
• Demonstrated success in delivering complex, multi-disciplinary projects within budget and on schedule.
• Strong understanding of various project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall, and the ability to adapt them to project needs.
• Exceptional leadership, team management, and motivational skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively at all levels.
• A recognized project management qualification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner) is essential.
