About the Role

Our client is actively seeking an experienced Lead Renewable Energy Engineer to join their distributed, remote-first engineering team. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and engineering of solar, wind, and battery storage projects.
• Oversee the development of detailed engineering specifications, P&IDs, and equipment selection.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring successful project delivery.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of junior and mid-level engineers.
• Collaborate with procurement, construction, and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and risk analyses for new renewable energy installations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in the renewable energy industry , with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record in designing and implementing utility-scale or distributed renewable energy systems .
• Strong understanding of power systems, grid integration, and relevant industry standards.
• Experience with project management software and engineering design tools .
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
