About the Role
Our client is actively seeking an experienced Lead Renewable Energy Engineer to join their distributed, remote-first engineering team. In this critical role, you will spearhead the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge renewable energy projects, focusing on innovative solutions for sustainable power generation. You will provide technical leadership, mentor a team of engineers, and ensure the successful execution of projects from conception to completion. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and engineering of solar, wind, and battery storage projects.
- Oversee the development of detailed engineering specifications, P&IDs, and equipment selection.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring successful project delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of junior and mid-level engineers.
- Collaborate with procurement, construction, and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and risk analyses for new renewable energy installations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in the renewable energy industry , with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in designing and implementing utility-scale or distributed renewable energy systems .
- Strong understanding of power systems, grid integration, and relevant industry standards.
- Experience with project management software and engineering design tools .
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
