About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a dynamic Lead Reservoir Engineer to spearhead their reservoir management initiatives in Birmingham . This senior position plays a crucial role in optimizing hydrocarbon recovery and managing energy assets throughout their lifecycle. You will lead a team of engineers, applying advanced analytical techniques to maximize value and ensure sustainable production strategies. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement long-term reservoir management strategies to optimize production and maximize asset value.
• Conduct detailed reservoir characterization, performance analysis, and forecasting using state-of-the-art simulation tools.
• Lead a team of reservoir engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and performance reviews.
• Identify and evaluate opportunities for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and improved reservoir performance.
• Collaborate with drilling, production, and geosciences teams to ensure integrated project execution.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and economic evaluations for management and stakeholders.

Requirements

• University degree in Petroleum Engineering, or a closely related engineering or earth science discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in reservoir engineering, with a strong focus on field development and production optimization.
• Demonstrated expertise in reservoir simulation, material balance calculations, and decline curve analysis.
• Experience in leading and managing technical teams within the oil and gas industry .
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly.
