About the Role

Our client seeks an inspirational Lead Secondary School Science Teacher to take charge of the science department in Birmingham . This senior role requires a dynamic educator to drive excellence in science education across all key stages, from KS3 to KS4. You will be responsible for leading a team of dedicated science teachers, developing an innovative and engaging curriculum, and ensuring outstanding student outcomes. Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and inspire the science department, fostering a culture of high achievement and continuous improvement.

• Oversee the effective assessment and tracking of student progress in science, providing targeted intervention strategies.
• Ensure the provision of safe and stimulating laboratory environments and practical learning experiences.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Science.
• Significant experience teaching secondary science, with proven leadership and management skills.
• A strong understanding of curriculum design, delivery, and assessment in science.
• Demonstrated ability to raise student attainment and engagement in science subjects.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring capabilities.
