About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging Mathematics curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, aligned with national standards and school objectives.
• Lead and mentor a team of Mathematics teachers, providing pedagogical guidance and facilitating professional development.
• Conduct regular performance reviews for department staff and support their career progression.
• Deliver outstanding teaching and learning in Mathematics, setting high expectations for student attainment and behaviour.
• Monitor student progress, analyse data, and implement targeted interventions to support academic growth and address learning gaps.
• Collaborate with school leadership to enhance the overall quality of education and promote a positive school culture.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
• A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, or a related field, with a strong academic record.
• Proven experience in secondary school teaching, with a track record of success in raising student achievement in Mathematics.
• Demonstrated experience in leadership or aspiring to a leadership role within an educational setting.
• In-depth knowledge of current pedagogical approaches and assessment strategies in Mathematics education.
