About the Role
Our client is searching for an innovative Lead Security Architect to design and oversee the implementation of secure systems and infrastructure from their Glasgow office. This senior role demands a deep understanding of security principles, threat modelling, and secure design patterns. You will be responsible for defining the organisation's security architecture roadmap, ensuring that security is embedded into the design of all new systems and applications. This is a critical position for an experienced architect who can translate complex security requirements into practical, effective solutions, fostering a security-first culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the organisation's overall security architecture strategy and standards.
- Design secure solutions for new applications, systems, and cloud environments.
- Conduct threat modelling and risk assessments for proposed architectures.
- Develop and document security reference architectures and guidelines.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure secure implementation of designs.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to security and engineering staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in information security, with a significant focus on security architecture.
- Proven experience designing and implementing secure cloud architectures (AWS, Azure).
- Expertise in security best practices, threat modelling, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Strong understanding of network security, application security, and data protection.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
