Lead Security Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Security Engineer to spearhead their security engineering efforts in Cambridge . Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of security infrastructure and applications.
• Develop and implement automated security controls and processes for CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage and optimize security tools, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption solutions.
• Mentor and guide a team of security engineers, fostering technical excellence and professional growth.
• Conduct threat modeling, security assessments, and architectural reviews of new systems and services.
• Collaborate closely with development, operations, and infrastructure teams to ensure secure system designs and implementations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in security engineering , with a proven track record of leading technical initiatives.
• Strong expertise in network security, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and application security.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Go, Bash) for automation.
• Experience with container security (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership capabilities.
