Lead Software Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure

About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary Lead Software Engineer specializing in Cloud Infrastructure to spearhead their initiatives in Coventry . Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Develop and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployment and infrastructure provisioning.
• Oversee monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of cloud services.
• Drive the adoption of DevOps best practices and foster a culture of collaboration and shared responsibility.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of cloud engineers and DevOps specialists.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in designing, building, and managing complex cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or Go .
• Deep understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes .
• Proven experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Argo CD).
• Strong knowledge of networking, security principles, and infrastructure automation.
• Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to guide and mentor technical teams.
