Our client is seeking a visionary Lead Software Engineer specializing in Cloud Infrastructure to spearhead their initiatives in Coventry . You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining the scalable, reliable, and secure cloud environments that power our client's cutting-edge applications. This role demands a deep understanding of distributed systems, automation, and cloud-native architectures. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure solutions.
- Develop and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployment and infrastructure provisioning.
- Oversee monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of cloud services.
- Drive the adoption of DevOps best practices and foster a culture of collaboration and shared responsibility.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of cloud engineers and DevOps specialists.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in designing, building, and managing complex cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or Go .
- Deep understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes .
- Proven experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Argo CD).
- Strong knowledge of networking, security principles, and infrastructure automation.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to guide and mentor technical teams.
