About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and results-oriented Lead Industrial Engineer to oversee and direct engineering initiatives in Coventry, West Midlands, UK . Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of industrial engineers in the design, development, and implementation of efficient manufacturing systems.
- Develop and execute strategic plans for process optimization, cost reduction, and quality enhancement across all operational areas.
- Oversee the selection and implementation of new equipment and technologies, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor operational performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with senior management and department heads to align engineering strategies with overall business goals.
- Provide technical expertise and mentorship to the engineering team and operational staff.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
- At least 10 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a significant portion in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Demonstrated expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma Black Belt certification, and other process improvement methodologies.
- Proven experience in project management, managing large-scale operational improvement initiatives.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management, logistics, and production planning.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
