About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished and visionary Lead Sound Designer to spearhead audio development for their innovative projects within a fully remote setting. You will be responsible for defining and implementing the overall sound strategy, from conceptualization to final delivery, ensuring an immersive and impactful auditory experience for users. This role requires a blend of creative artistry, technical expertise, and leadership skills to guide a remote audio team. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and mixing of all in-game sound effects, ambient audio, and music cues.
- Develop and maintain the audio technology pipeline, working with engineers to optimize sound systems.
- Collaborate with game designers, narrative teams, and other departments to integrate audio seamlessly into the project.
- Manage and mentor a remote team of sound designers, providing feedback and direction.
- Create high-fidelity audio assets, including recordings, foley, and synthesis.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Sound Designer , with a significant portion in a lead or senior role.
- Demonstrable portfolio showcasing exceptional work in game audio, including both creative and technical aspects.
- Proficiency with industry-standard Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) and audio middleware (e.g., Wwise, FMOD).
- Strong understanding of acoustics, psychoacoustics, and audio engineering principles.
- Experience in managing remote teams and delivering audio under project deadlines.
